City Beach Wins 2016 Australian Urban Design Awards Commendation

Last month our City Beach Surf Club took home a highly prestigious Commendation at the 2016 Australian Urban Design Awards, making the development one of the top 4 projects within the category of Urban Design Small Scale, and among the top 10 Urban Design projects in Australia.
In a message congratulating the 10 finalist, Australian Urban Design Awards Patron, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said, “These projects and designs will enhance our cities’ built environments for the people they must serve, and leave a lasting legacy for future generations... I am honoured to be a patron of the Australian Urban Design Awards, which promotes standout contributions in your field. Together we can make Australia’s cities even better places to live, work and visit, supporting growth, jobs and a secure future for Australian families.”
We would like to take this opportunity to again congratulate the elected members at the Town of Cambridge, Jason Buckley, CEO, Brett Jackson, Director Projects. Together we have created an iconic waterfront project of both State and National significance which has been well and truly accepted by the local community.
City Beach Surf Club Takes Home Public Architecture Award

Christou is honoured to have received a highly prestigious Public Architecture Award from the Australian Institute of Architects (WA Chapter) for our design of the City Beach Surf Club, a new community and commercial project at the edge of the Indian Ocean.

Works have begun on the upgrade of the iconic Allendale Square, within the heart of Perth's CBD. The project sees a "hi-tech" and contemporary upgrade of the existing plaza, with addition of new commercial tenancies at street level on St Georges Terrace.
