Mindarie Keys Resort 1990

  • RAIA (WA Chapter) Design Commendation – 1990
  • Sir David Brand Award for Tourism
  • Architecture & Waterfront
  • Mixed-Use Development

Mindarie Keys was created as a “model waterside village” to relate to and stimulate a future residential community. The project incorporated a resort hotel, restaurants, courtyard gardens, recreational facilities and retail outlets.

The concept enabled a public promenade and facilitated outdoor food, beverage and entertainment, with buildings in the village oriented to the various views and designed on a residential scale. CHRISTOU also assisted in site analysis and land utilisation for medium density housing, commercial retail, parking and planning issues to assist the client to achieve all necessary approvals for the development.

The model waterside village is still the focal point for the community as well as the key marketing element for the estate.
