Commercial: Allendale Square Under Construction

Works have begun on the upgrade of the iconic Allendale Square, within the heart of Perth's CBD. CHRISTOU's design sees a "hi-tech" and contemporary upgrade of the existing plaza, with addition of new transparent commercial tenancies at street level on St Georges Terrace. The main objective of the design is public activation and place making; to reinforce the two plazas as great spaces for people in the heart of the city. The redevelopment will re-establish Allendale as a location for people to meet and connect with the city environment.
The articulation and transparency of the glass canopy roof and two external plaza level tenancies have been designed with careful consideration of the office tower. The new Sherwood Court entry is about creating transparency and inviting pedestrian movement to and from the Swan River and Elizabeth Quay precinct via Sherwood Court. Framed windows and canopy embellishments will define the new Sherwood Court entry into the Arcade. This canopy is an extension of the internal ceiling embellishments proposed for the arcade level (a continuation right out to the ‘street’).

Last Month our City Beach Surf Club project took home a highly prestigious Commendation at the 2016 Australian Urban Design Awards, making the development one of the top 4 projects within the category of Urban Design Small Scale, and among the top 10 Urban Design projects in Australia.

The project continues Bethanie Groups work in setting new benchmarks in Aged Care, delivering high-quality, intuitive apartments which support its residents lifestyle.
