The elegant, understated design of the Lake Karrinyup Country Club finds common ground between the desires of a private golf club and its members, a historically significant but tired building, a strong culture and a pristine landscape. Christou’s design re-imagines the food and beverage experience, reviving an existing Members Lounge and Bar and delivering a new contemporary Grill with open kitchen, pizza oven and casual indoor and outdoor dining. Insertion of the new Grill re-balances the focal point of the LKCC, improving connectivity and flow of food and beverage, whilst also reconnecting the historic building to the golf course at the 9th hole. A Members wine store is inserted carefully to mediate between the old building at the Members Lounge and the new addition at the Grill. Together, the sophisticated upgrades cater for a diverse member group and prepare the club for the future.
